Christina Rasmussen is on a crusade to change the way we live after loss. As the founder of Second Firsts, Christina spends her time speaking, coaching and helping thousands of people to rebuild, reclaim and re-launch their whole lives — using the most powerful tool for personal reinvention: the human mind.
Before creating Second Firsts, Christina worked as a therapist and crisis intervention specialist. But after losing her husband to colon cancer, Christina experienced the agony of sudden loss, firsthand. With two daughters in tow, she began the tender process of transforming her tragedy into a new career, a renewed sense of purpose, and a life of joy + laughter. Second Firsts was born.
But as she points out: "This has never been about my story. This is about the work of Re-Entry. It's about choosing to dance, laugh, love + live again."
"If you're lost. . . if you're gone. . . if you can barely absorb the words on this screen. . . I want you to hold this truth in your heart: when it's your time to go, you won't wish you'd spent more time grieving — you'll wish you'd spent more time living."
Connect with Christina — and 100,000+ Second Firsts fans — on Facebook and 22,000 followers on Twitter.
"When you are a part of the Second Firsts team you join a movement to change the way we view life after loss. It is truly the most rewarding, challenging and fulfilling experience I have ever had."

Cameron "Cam" Ford is Second Firsts" Marketing and PR Associate.
Growing up, Cam was raised in a household with a very strong emphasis
on charity and giving back, and volunteered for the first time at a local food
pantry when he was seven years old. To him, there is no better feeling than
knowing that your hard work has made a difference in somebody else's life,
which is why he has donated to charity on a regular basis since high school
(two of his favorites are Autism Speaks and the American Heart Association).
During the course of his post-college job search, Cam saw Second Firsts as
the perfect hybrid of his passion for writing and his desire to help those in need.
In his spare time, Cam enjoys exercising, reading, spending time with his friends and family and working on his two novels (a coming-of-age story set in the Middle Ages titled Warrior Within and a crime thriller set in Miami titled Come Blow YOur Horn). He graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts — Amherst in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in History. Cam is readily available to help reporters and anybody interested in partnering with Second Firsts. Reach out to Cameron at firstname.lastname@example.org with any speaking or publicity inquiries.

She saw Second Firsts as a perfect opportunity to give back to the community as well as help others.
When she’s not working, Amy can be found running on the ocean in her hometown in Rhode Island or with friends listening to live bands. She enjoys getting coffee with her sisters and spending as much time with her family as possible. Amy has a passion for getting others’ stories told and helping people live their best life.
